Diabolus

About

The devil's in the music.

Diabolus is a metal & live-event photography webzine — first-person reports, full-set galleries, and a beer counter nobody asked for.

I've been shooting metal across Europe since 2014 — festivals, club shows, the warm-up nights nobody else stays for. Diabolus is where the photographs and the writing finally live in one place: a report from inside the room, a gallery that honours every band on the bill, and the running tally that keeps me honest about the weekend.

The name carries two meanings — the Latin devil, and diabolus in musica, the tritone the old church tried to ban. That's the register here: elegant-occult, not horror-schlock. Severe and liturgical, never edgelord. The design recedes so the images and the voice can carry it.

The rule I shoot by: document everyone, pull out the legends in the writing, and let the gallery do right by the undercard. If you ran a stage I stood in front of, you're in the frame somewhere.
